GTMC chief executive Paul Wait will leave his role later this summer, the travel management organisation has said.
Wait is moving on to a new position in the travel industry.
He joined the GTMC in January 2013 and has overseen a raft of enhancements and developments for the organisation.
Among the key changes for the GTMC under Wait’s tenure include a re-brand and a move into higher profile political lobbying, as well as an increase in both members and partners.
GTMC chairman Paul Allan said: “Over the last few years the GTMC has become synonymous with an entrepreneurial spirit and has enjoyed a high profile. We are in the best possible position for the GTMC to continue to grow under the direction of the accomplished board.”
Wait added: “After over four years at the GTMC I have enjoyed incredible support from the business travel community, and the opportunity to make considerable changes to the organisation.
“These evolutions now mean that the GTMC is ready to carry on to the next phase of its exciting history under new leadership. I look forward to working with a successor over the coming months.”
