The
GBTA has announced a new panel for its Centre Stage at its upcoming conference in Berlin. Taking place on 27 November, four senior leaders in business travel will give their unique perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing our industry today
The "Successful Women Leading in Business Travel" panel comprises: Daniela Schade, AccorHotels; Heike Birlenbach, Lufthansa Group; and Emma Wilson, Sabre. It will be moderated by Dorothy Dowling, Best Western Hotels and Resorts, and together the four executives will highlight success factors and obstacles they experienced throughout their careers. They will also address the unique challenges they faced as women to get to the level they are at today.
Other Centre Stage events include the “2020 Vision on Aviation” session, with Shai Weiss, incoming chief executive, Virgin Atlantic; Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer, Finnair; and Harry Hohmeister, member of the executive board and chief officer hub management, Lufthansa Group.
Meanwhile, an accommodation-focused panel will be moderated by industry veteran Bernd Schulz, chief executive of i:FAO, on 29 November. It will explore the impact of technology on the way companies meet the needs of business travellers today and in the future.
The GBTA Conference 2018 Berlin in Partnership with VDR takes place at the Estrel Congress Center from 27-29 November and will bring together more than 60 industry speakers and 50 exhibitors from around the globe. The theme of Momentum is designed to address the rapid acceleration of change within the business travel industry.
