The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has launched a weekly podcast called The Business of Travel, which will focus on key issues affecting the industry.
Each episode will feature several business travel experts and thought leaders. In the coming months, the podcast will cover business travel’s role in employee recruitment and retention, the business travel experience, travel friction, travel technology, aviation regulations, Brexit’s impact on business travel and more.
The inaugural episode is available to listen to on the GBTA blog and can also be downloaded via iTunes and Stitcher, and will be available via other podcast services soon.
It starts with Mike McCormick, executive director and COO of GBTA, giving an overview of the current state of the industry and a discussion on what GBTA members say about duty of care. It also features Mike Koetting, executive vice president of supplier and TMC services at Concur, who talks about the implications of booking behaviour when it comes to traveller safety, as well as Erin Wilk, global security travel safety manager for Facebook, who outlines best practices for a strong safety programme.
