Anyone wanting to undertake long-distance travel in France,
whether by domestic flight, TGV or Intercity train, must now show a health pass
before they travel. The pass must also be shown by those attending trade fairs,
exhibitions and professional seminars as well as those eatning and drinking in
bars and restaurants.
The health pass can be presented digitally, via France’s TousAntiCovid
app, or on paper and must show proof of full vaccination with the Pfizer, AstraZeneca,
Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccine, a negative Covid test or proof of
recovery from Covid within the previous six months.
The
health pass has been available since 9 June but has now been extended to a wider
range of situations.
Thousands of people in France have protested
against the introduction of the pass, saying it infringes their civil
liberties.
