Two former managers of the Co-operative Travel Management have set up their own business travel agency.
Paula Cullen and Mike Crotty have formed a new TMC called Incorporate Travel Management which has already made its first acquisition with the purchase of Yorkshire-based independent agency Sellers Travel.
The company says it has “ambitious growth plans to expand further across the UK both organically and through selective acquisitions”.
Incorporate is being billed as a “full service” TMC with its headquarters in Manchester and a customer services team in Huddersfield, where Sellers Travel is currently based. The company is being backed financially by investment firm Praetura Capital.
Cullen, who was previously national sales director at the Co-operative Travel Management, said: “We are so excited to have his opportunity to create a brand new platform in the travel management space.
“Having been in the industry all our working lives, we have long had a real desire to create and grow our own brand and we have some very ambitious plans.”
Both Cullen and Crotty, who had been business support director at the Co-op, have more than 20 years in the industry working for various TMCs.
Crotty added: “We are not challenged by the DIY traveller but want to build on their demand for smarter solutions, complimented by our expert advice and support.
“To have the freedom to select your technology partners and work with teams you think are both talented and innovative is great, we have been really pleased by the interest and support shown so far, by some key industry players.”
