Flight Centre Group has increased its presence in the corporate travel market by snapping up six travel companies around the world.
Australia-based Flight Centre, which owns FCM Travel Solutions, made the acquisitions within just six weeks.
The purchases include Canadian company Les Voyages Laurier du Vallon, which specialises in both corporate and meetings travel, and Executive Travel Group in New Zealand, which is the country’s largest independent TMC.
Flight Centre has also acquired Travel Managers Group in New Zealand, Olympus Tours in Mexico, Bespoke Hospitality Management in Thailand and Travel Partners based in Sydney.
Marcus Eklund, global general manager for FCM Travel Solutions said: “This is an exciting time for our parent company Flight Centre in terms of expansion and we are proud to be the corporate flagship division of such a forward-thinking progressive global travel company.
“This is part of our overall strategy to provide unique services and experience to the traveler.
“Each acquisition is of significant strategic importance, whether that’s fast-tracking corporate and leisure business growth in certain markets, expanding Flight Centre’s in-destination network, or adding new distribution channels.”
