TMC Giles Travel has confirmed that students from the UK’s inaugural Business Travel Academy course have all graduated.
The seven graduates all began the new course in January and are the first in the country to receive a diploma in business travel, which is endorsed by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality.

Wait said the Academy was a “wonderful initiative” and hoped it would help attract more people into the industry.
“The Academy delivers the knowledge, the skills and also the inspiration to have a long and happy career in the business travel industry,” Wait said.
Giles Group chairman David Giles, said: “The idea of creating the Academy came from the need to inject fresh, new talent into the business travel industry.
“The need to have properly trained business travel professionals coming into the industry is vital and recognised industry wide.”
Of the seven graduates, four have found employment with leading TMCs and the remaining three have interviews lined up.
Giles Travel was recently named 28 in the Top 50 UK TMCs.
