The Appointment Group (TAG) has this morning announced the acquisition of London-headquartered travel management company (TMC) ET Travel for an undisclosed fee.
ET, which also has offices in Manchester, has become a wholly owned subsidiary of TAG while its joint managing directors, Ian Patterson and Glen Duckworth, have joined the TAG board as joint chief operating officers.
John Gianquitto, TAG’s joint chairman and CEO, said bringing the businesses together would create an xciting and dynamic management team that would drive continued global growth.
ET, which has been in business for almost two decades, conducts the majority of its business in the UK and European corporate and touring travel sectors.
“Joining a business like TAG will allow us to offer our clients a far greater degree of enhanced services worldwide,” said ET’s Patterson.
Maurice Veronique, TAG’s joint Chairman & CEO, said: “Having Ian and Glen on the TAG board of directors will be a huge asset to the combined business and will contribute to us achieving our strategic global objectives.”
The TMC bosses said the combined business would generate global annual revenues of more than £125 million.
