FCm Travel Solutions is to recruit six new business development managers in a bid to boost sales by £80m
The travel management company’s new head of UK sales, Alex Armstrong said the new sales team would be ten strong and would focus on the medium to large client market.
Armstrong has been with Flight Centre, owners of FCm, for ten years and was founder of its Corporate Traveller brand.
When Flight Centre took over FCm in 2005, Armstrong joined the TMC’s sales team as business development manager.
In the last 18 months, FCm said Armstrong had pulled in new business worth £53m, including new major accounts with Lloyds Register, International SOS, Control Risks Group and John Laing.
Armstrong said the new recruits would be based in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester and London.
“FCm UK currently has over £120m of new business in the pipeline, so I have every confidence that we will hit our target of £80m for our financial year which runs from end June 2010 to July next year.”
