FCM Travel Solutions has appointed Andrew Boxall to the newly-created role of European managing director, based in London.
Boxall will be responsible for overseeing and growing FCM’s equity-owned businesses in Europe, namely in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Netherlands. He will report to Steve Norris, corporate managing director for EMEA at Flight Centre Travel Group.
Boxall joined Flight Centre Travel Group in 1998 and has worked in various retail, procurement and corporate product roles in the 20 years since. For the last nine years he has been the company’s managing director in the United Arab Emirates, playing a part in growing the business to annual turnover of US$100 million.

Over the last two years, FCM has expanded its footprint substantially in Northern Europe after Flight Centre Travel Group made acquisitions in the Nordics and Germany. This means FCM now has an equity-owned presence in these countries instead of agency partnership agreements, giving us the platform to grow our corporate business significantly in terms of national and global clients. We see great potential to differentiate FCM in these markets with our unique value proposition of people and service, state-of-the-art traveller-focused technology and superior product content.”
