Former Tesco CEO Matt Davies has been named the non-executive chairman of Travel Counsellors.
Davies became the chief of Tesco in 2015 but stepped down earlier this year after the chain bought the Booker Group. He has previously headed up businesses such as Pets at Home and Halfords. He is also currently chair of online retailer N Brown.
The news comes as Travel Counsellors also announces its 12th consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth, with average annual turnover growing 18 per cent in the last five years. The company’s business travel arm played a part in the upward trend, with corporate bookings up 12 per cent in the first half of 2018.
