Expanding TMC Egencia has opened a new customer service centre in Manchester.
The company, which is part of online travel giant Expedia, officially opened its new office in the city today (February 20) at Piccadilly Place.
Egencia currently employs more than 130 staff in Manchester working in departments such as sales, account management, customer services, training and finance.
The company said its Manchester operation had “grown exponentially” over the last five years which had necessitated the move to larger premises.
General manager Andrew Clarke said: “Using state-of-the-art technology and bringing divisions together in a dynamic and modern environment will help us to pursue
our plans to work more effectively and efficiently, both in the UK and across our European network.”
Graham Kingsmill, Egencia UK’s managing director, called the opening of the new office a “landmark event” or the brand in the UK.
“The new facility is specifically designed to provide an inspiring and stimulating environment for all of our customer service staff,” added Kingsmill. “Happy and engaged employees create happy and loyal clients driving a competitive advantage in a crowded market.”
