The average cost of a business trip in the UK and Ireland dropped 8.5 per cent for Q3 2015.
According to research from Carlson Wagonlit Travel the average cost of a trip is £424.60, a decrease compared to the same period last year.
The hotel average room rate reduced by 2.1 per cent and travellers are paying 6.1 per cent less on car rental.
It also showed there has been an increase of 41 per cent in travellers booking more than 14 days in advance.
CWT’s travel barometer, which covers air, rail, hotel spend as well as ticket types and destinations, collects data from the preceding quarter and segments it into industry sectors.
