Concur has agreed a deal to allow travellers to use its Tripit organising tool on Google Glass.
The expense management specialist plans to make all trip information available through the search giant’s glassware instead of travellers having to use their smartphones or other mobile devices to access information on gate changes, flight delays and cancellations.
Rich Adams, Tripit’s head of mobile, said: “Tripit and Google share a common goal to organise information and create technology to make people’s lives better.
“With Tripit, we’re always thinking about how travelling should work in pursuit of ‘The Perfect Trip.’ Imagine being able to simultaneously enjoy a cup of coffee, carry your luggage through the airport and stay informed of changes.
“All your flight status updates are presented in plain view, freeing up your hands and making it easier to stay engaged with the world around you.”
Tripit Glassware is now available for download from the Google Play store. While Tripit organises travel itineraries in one centralised place for free, a subscription of $49 per year to Tripit Pro is needed to access flight status alerts and other notifications.
