Leading travel management company Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has appointed Andrew Waller as its new executive vp for the UK.
Mr Waller succeeds Jim Tweedie, previously executive vp for Northern Europe, who was promoted to executive vp account management EMEA in the summer.
CWT said Mr Waller's focus on the UK reflected its wish to "expand and develop its activities in the strong growing British market."
The UK is its biggest market in the EMEA zone with 1,300 clients.
Mr Waller, who has a background in sales and marketing, was previously managing director for two of Britain's leading motor racing circuits, Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
He has also held management positions with the Walt Disney Travel Company, Norwegian Cruise Lines and BA.
Mr Richard Lovell's CWT's chief operating officer EMEA, said: "This appointment is consistent with our policy to hire seasoned travel industry professionals who add their wide range of industry experience to the senior management team."
