Capita Travel & Events is launching a new travel management service aimed at cutting the cost of “straightforward” bookings.
The TMC is unveiling its Navigator product at this year’s Business Travel Show in London which offers a free centralised bookings service for both online and offline sales.
Capita said that clients using Navigator would also have access to its deals with suppliers, as well as offering management information and a mobile app.
The TMC said that this system could help clients to save more than 20 per cent on their travel and meetings budget within six months.
Capita’s chief customer officer Colin Freeman said: “Managing travel and meetings for companies that have had limited or no control before coming to us is nothing new.
“Navigator strips back the complex elements of travel and meetings management and can be implemented in days without any set up or booking fees; we wanted to remove any perceived barrier that could be preventing these companies from seeking professional help and advice.”
Freeman added that Navigator also allowed clients to locate their travellers in the event of an emergency.
“Businesses are increasingly concerned about traveller wellbeing and duty of care, but there are many businesses that still don’t know where its travellers are at any given time,” said Freeman.
“Capita gives customers the peace of mind they need because, if there’s an issue, a specialist will handle it on their behalf.”
