Taxi service Cabfind has created a strategic partnership with dispatch specialist Icabbi to enhance its supplier and client connectivity.
Icabbi is a cloud-based dispatch system that will integrate into Cabfind's online booking platform, enabling ground transportation requirements to be fed directly to the relevant driver. The partnership will create automated end-to-end booking processes, delivering benefits such as journey visibility, reduced costs, administration efficiencies and data-rich reporting.
Existing suppliers using Icabbi will be migrated onto the system and other taxi companies currently working with the platform will have the opportunity to work with Cabfind.
Clients will now have visibility for on-time arrivals, journey times and mileage, as well as real-time itineraries to meet duty of care requirements.
The announcement comes as preparations for the launch of Cabfind’s new technology platform get underway.
Richard Moseley, head of supplier relations at Cabfind, said: “The mobility sector is advancing at an impressive rate and we are extremely pleased to be working with a like-minded company that understands the needs of a rapidly changing market place.
“Working more efficiently with our supply chain brings significant benefits to our customers, giving them a much clearer and accurate picture of their ground transportation needs.”
Niall Prenty, business development director at Icabbi, commented: “We are extremely pleased to be working with the team at Cabfind – the strategic partnership reflects both organisations’ deep-rooted understanding of the ground transportation sector and how technical innovation is driving change at an unprecedented pace.
“Customers now expect a great end-to-end travel experience and at Icabbi we are playing our part with an open application programming interface supported platform that helps connect Cabfind customers and Icabbi’s taxi fleets seamlessly.”
