CWT has revealed it has made its first successful live NDC booking through Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.
The ticket, issued on American Airlines, was done in an actual production environment, according to the travel management platform, and comes after Amadeus announced the addition of NDC connectivity to its Level 4 certified solution that has the ability to shop, book, pay and service tickets.
Erik Magnuson, VP of air distribution capabilities, commented: “This is a tremendous milestone in the NDC journey and is an early stage indicator of what can be achieved with industry and technology cooperation. While this is a hugely positive step forward to making efficient NDC consumption a reality for the business traveller, it is still early days.
