Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has launched a virtual payment solution, powered by Conferma.
The new virtual cards will help travellers without a company credit card and for those who want to settle their corporate travel centrally.
The TMC said initially the solution will be used to pay for hotels and low-cost carriers, and may also be offered for other content in the future.
CWT claims the virtual payment solution will lead to better programme compliance, less reliance on personal credit cards and a greater visibility into total cost of travel.
The solution works across all GDS platforms, and depending on which country a traveller is based, can be offered via CWT’s or the client’s specific card provider.
“We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation in universal payment technologies,” said Conferma’s CEO Simon Barker.
“CWT has embraced our innovation and customised it around their world-renowned and flexible corporate solutions.
“We are confident that Conferma’s technologies, combined with CWT’s global reach and customer service ethic, will set a new, industry-leading standard in payment and data solutions.”
