Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has created a new global organization for its energy-related clients.
The travel management company said the energy industry represents a "unique, rapidly expanding global market".
"These companies travel to and from remote locations around the world and their logistical needs are quite complex, often involving the rotation and transport of hundreds of employees at a time," said CWT.
CWT estimates the "highly fragmented" global energy services market will exceed $4.3 billion in annual air volume.
Gary Pearce, who previously led the energy services division in Houston will head up the global team, as senior vice president, global energy services.
There will also be senior directors in EMEA (Europe, middle east and Africa), Latin America and Asia Pacific.
