Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has introduced an internet tool for travel managers and travel buyers to give instant access to all information needed to manage travel programmes more efficiently.
The first phase of CWT Program Management Center, was released to clients at the end of April and includes a multi-lingual, multi-currency reporting centre. The system comprises a variety of graphs and can be tailored to individual customers depending on particular objectives.
From this reporting platform, travel managers can monitor a range of data such as market share trends, online booking adoption, missed hotel bookings, low fare acceptance and year-to-year average ticket price. Carbon emission reporting is also available through the system.
The management centre is now the opening page for users of CWT Discovery, the company”s reporting tool, and clients can now access more detailed information such as credit card, pre-ticket and profile data and individual reports for each graph.
There is a safety and security function that alerts travel managers to severe weather, natural disasters or travel security warnings, including all significant events during the past 24 hours. An interactive mapping tool allows the travel manager to retrieve detailed information on all travellers in any country at any time, including flight, rail and hotel bookings.
”The CWT Program Management Center simplifies the daily life of travel professionals by housing all relevant information in one place,” said executive vice president technology and product management, Loren Brown.
”When our clients tested the tool, they were impressed with the depth and flexibility of its content. They saw that it will save time and money while optimising travel programme goals.”
Other enhancements will be added to the system in July and November, with the fourth and final phase due to complete in the first half of 2008.
