Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has bought Kaleva Travel, Finland's largest business travel specialist, for an undisclosed sum.
CWT has been working with the privately-owned firm, which has annual sales of some $450m, for more than 15 years.
Kaleva also has offices in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania, which are now also owned by CWT.
The TMC will continue to be headed up by CEO Mika Kiljunen, and will retain its 450 employees.
Kiljunen said that joining CWT was in the best interest of Kaleva’s employees and customers.
“Our clients’ needs have expanded as companies of all sizes increasingly find themselves participating in a global economy,” he said.
“At the same time, expectations have increased as clients seek a true consultant to help guide their travel decisions.”
