Visa specialist CIBT has acquired a software platform from Switzerland-based technology firm Viselio to improve the automation of the visa application process.
CIBT said that Viselio's software platform will “accelerate” plans to use data, AI and automation to create “a superior customer experience throughout the visa and immigration process”. Terms of the deal were not announced.
The platform “includes both client-facing and back-end functionality and automates and expedites many of the steps required to complete a visa application process,” a CIBT spokesperson told BTN in an email.
CIBT plans to use the platform to further integrate data from corporate clients' travel, mobility, human resources and security departments for a streamlined experience for international travellers.
"With Covid-19, the entire landscape has been drastically altered and clients need tech-enabled solutions that minimise the effort and complexity associated with international mobility ensuring accuracy, compliance and speed," said CIBT’s CEO Eric Scheinerman.
The move comes after CIBT acquired export documents specialist Blair Consular Services earlier this month.
