Latest figures from the Association of Irish Professional Conference Organisers (AIPCO) show a rise in the number of business travellers to the country.
The Association said the income from conferences had also increased and stood at €65m from 2008 to 2010.
The figures were compiled from five of Ireland's leading conference organisers and covered 113 events they held in the country between 2008 and this year.
During the period, the five organisers said business travellers had spent €20m on 200,000 bed nights at their events.
The upward trend is a reversal of 2009 when there was a 50% drop in the number of business travellers attending conferences in Ireland.
AIPCO said it expected a "significant upward spike" in this year's figures.
Ms Nicola McGrane, chair of AIPCO's executive board, said ‘Ireland was hit as badly as anyone by the worldwide recession.
"The speed in which the Irish tourism industry has begun to bounce back gives a real indication as to how well our industry is regarded around the world."
