The Business Travel Show has revealed details of its new pre-show conference for hosted buyers.
The half-day conference is being introduced for the 2013 event and takes place on February 4, the day before the two-day show starts at Earls Court in London. The afternoon conference forms part of an extended hosted buyer programme being run by BTS.
The programme features six masterclasses with topics such as data confidentiality, choosing a multinational TMC, managing your suppliers and policy compliance. There is also a panel debate on the subject of new frontiers in travel payment. For full details of all the sessions at the conference, click here.
Business Travel Show event director David Chapple said: “The launch of the hosted buyer programme last year was a huge success and we had great feedback from the buyers involved.
“So much so, we have extended the programme for 2013 to include the additional educational sessions focused purely on the intelligence needs of senior buyers with a multi-territory remit.
“We have also introduced a series of peer-to-peer networking discovery forums at the show and a pre-show welcome dinner for hosted buyers on the Monday evening, which is in addition to the hosted buyer after show party at Madame Tussauds on the Tuesday evening.”
Alan Ryan, regional travel manager EMEA for aviation IT company SITA Aero, attended the hosted buyer programme in 2012 and will return in 2013.
He said: “The Business Travel Show hosted buyer programme provides an opportunity to network with like-minded travel professionals within Europe as well as making new business contacts and keeping up to date with current trends and issues.”
