The Business Travel Show has bolstered its advisory board by adding eight new travel buyers.
The buyers will offer advice to organisers on the content and themes of the show, which takes place at Earls Court in London on February 4-5, 2014. The advisory board was set up last year to ensure that sessions tackled the most important issues to buyers.
The new advisory board members are:
- Michael Hill, EMEA travel manager, Coca Cola, Ireland
- Carol Neil, head of travel EMEA, Nomura International, UK
- Hazel Nicholls, head of procurement EMEA, Northern Trust, UK
- Jafles Pacheco, global head of travel, HR and professional services, Oerlikon, Switzerland
- Thomas Lindahl, global travel manager, Husqvarna, Sweden
- Minna Torppa, travel manager , MOD Finland, Finland
- George Blues, group travel manager, Edrington, UK
- Tom Ellis, EMEA travel manager, Agilent Technologies, UK
They will join the five existing buyers on the BTS’s advisory board who include Ruediger Bruss, from Continental AG, Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board’s Alison Churchill and Jef Robinson, from Citrix Systems.
Carol Neil, from Nomura International, said: “I’m really looking forward to help shape the Business Travel Show conference content, ensuring the right speakers are on the programme covering what’s happening in travel right now and issues and topics that are truly important to buyers.”
BTS event director David Chapple added: “The addition of such well-respected buyers to our advisory board is a real coup for the show and we’re eager to hear their thoughts and benefit from their knowledge and experience as we work together to plan the show’s evolution.
“Buyers from countries outside the UK now make up more than 50 per cent of the board, which mirrors our objective to continue to attract more European buyers to the Business Travel Show.”
