British Airways has named Stephen Humphreys as its new head of sales and marketing for the UK and Ireland.
Humphreys is rejoining BA to replace Richard Tams, who is due to take up the role of executive vice president for the airline in China.
In his new role, Humphreys will have responsibility for both BA and sister carrier Iberia’s relationships with its UK and global corporate clients and TMCs.
Humphreys said: “British Airways is one of the world’s pre-eminent brands and I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning to the UK to take up such a challenging position with the airline, and continuing to build on Richard Tams’ great work with our corporate customers and industry partners.”
He previously worked for BA in several senior roles including general manager of South West Pacific and general manager of corporate sales for the UK and Ireland. He later moved to Australia to work for Qantas and then as CEO of Wests Tigers rugby league team in Sydney.
Humphreys will take up his new role at BA from the end of July.
