The International Travel Partnership has signed up a new agency in Belgium.
Squatra is the largest independent travel agency in Flanders, and services a mix of business and leisure travel.
Luc Daels, Squatra’s chairman, said joining ITP gives the agency an international platform.
“Sharing experiences, knowledge and technology with ITP partners around the world will certainly contribute to our quality, range of services and value proposition to our clients,” he said.
“It will also generate new commercial opportunities leading to new multinational and regional business through the ITP network. ITP offers the platform to think local but act global.”
The new addition to the alliance of independent travel management companies brings the total number of members to some 46 in more than 30 countries.
Ian Epps, ITP’s director of partnership relations, said the addition of a Belgian agency adds another important market to the alliance’s European coverage.
He said Squatra has a “well-established corporate client base, a broad range of travel management services and an excellent local reputation”.
“We are very pleased to have SQUATRA as our partner in Belgium, a market which is important to many of our Partners’ regional and multinational clients,” he added.
