BSI’s meetings self-booking tool has seen a significant upgrade, with the introduction of improved video conference booking.
With BSI Direct clients can now view availability and book two internal meeting rooms at the same time, which means they can guarantee an internal video session can take place between two groups.
Another addition to the technology is integration of bookings with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes calendars.
Meetings planners can now add their room booking to their calendars, with a hyperlink to the related booking and a reminder to cancel unwanted meeting space to prevent it going to waste.
Paul Hussey, BSI’s director of business development for meetings and events, said the latest upgrades are part of the event management firm’s “ongoing investment” in technology.
He said the improvements would “empower meeting planners to take control by providing a simple, easy to use online experience, this driving behavioural change, compliance and sustainable savings”.
BSI first introduced BSI Direct in 2009, with Tesco as the launch customer.
