BCD Travel has confirmed current global president and COO John Snyder will become president and CEO of the company.
Snyder’s position will be filled by Mike Janssen who will also retain his current responsibilities as president of the Americas region.
The changes follow Joop Drechsel’s decision to step down as CEO of BCD Travel to foucs more on his responsibilities as CEO of BCD Group.
“These changes are a natural progression for our leaders,” said Drechsel. “This is the team that has led BCD Travel to consistent success in sales, customer retention and expansion, and I believe that John and Mike, along with our global CFO Stephan Baars, are uniquely positioned to lead the company through its next era of growth.”
BCD Travel’s said last year was its sixth consecutive year with over US$1 billion in new air sales awarded. In July 2013 BCD Travel acquired Travelocity Business, one of the top TMCs in North America.
