BCD Meetings & Incentives, the Chicago-based meetings and events managers who are owned by Netherlands-headquartered BCD Holdings, has acquired UK company Talking Point for an undisclosed sum. The agreement brings global in-house live event production capabilities to the organization.
The deal also extends BCD M&I's client portfolio to include Talking Point clients such as Sony, O2, Bosch Power Tools and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. The acquisition completes the takeover that began last year when BCD Holdings bought out The Travel Company, who partly owned Talking Point.
”The outstanding team that Talking Point has cultivated over the last 20 years enhances our European market solution and perfectly positions BCD Meetings & Incentives to expand the core MICE services we already offer in other EMEA markets,” said BCD M&I president Scott Graf. ”Additionally, Talking Point's reputation as an innovator in creative event management will serve us extremely well as we pursue more event opportunities in the Americas and throughout Europe.”
Talking Point founder and managing director was equally enthusiastic: ”I am thrilled with the opportunities this brings, both for our employees and our customers,” he said. ”Now that we're part of BCD Meetings & Incentives, we'll continue to deliver the same creative excellence for which we are known. Additionally, we'll be able to broaden our service offering within the UK and Ireland to span all the products and services offered by BCD Meetings & Incentives, including strategic meetings management.”
