Buying Business Travel has been named a finalist in the inaugural Press Gazette Specialist Media Awards.
This new set of awards has been launched as a subset of the British Journalism Awards "to recognise great journalism being carried out on specialist and B2B titles – and by specialist journalists working in the mainstream media", according to the organisers.
Regular BBT contributors Rob Gill, David Churchill and Mark Frary have been shortlisted within the Transport category.
Several other titles, newspapers and organisations have been nominated across various sectors, including the Guardian, Sunday Times and New Scientist, as well as The Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
The shortlisted writers' entries tackled a range of subjects, including the implications of the demise of the super jumbo, and LGBT travel within corporate programmes.
BBT editor Matthew Parsons said: "We're thrilled to see BBT nominated in the transport category, and our journalists recognised in these brand new awards. We pride ourselves on the quality of journalism we produce and the new topics and angles covered in the business travel sector. It's also fantastic to see B2B journalism being put in the spotlight within this new format."
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Stationers’ Hall, London, on 17 September 2018. You can read the full shortlist here.
