With the BBT Forum taking place just nine days ahead of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force, a group of data experts within the field of travel and events will come together to give travel buyers and managers last-minute advice for ensuring they’re ready for the changes.
The panel features Malati Parekh, solicitor at industry body ABTA; Nick Scott, MD of business travel agency ArrangeMY and chairman of the accommodation committee of the HBAA; and Arvi Virdee, co-founder of travel and events GDPR specialist Fileom (all pictured in order, left to right).
This session will review the key requirements of GDPR and how to ensure you are – and remain – on the right side of the law. The panellists will discuss the continued implications for travel programmes, and what to expect in the coming months as the regulation is implemented and the authorities start to flex their muscles and show their teeth.
