With just one day to go until the spring BBT Forum, there are only a couple of free places available for travel buyers and managers, with sessions set to cover digitalisation, cross-departmental collaboration and defining the ‘new’ risk.
Taking place tomorrow, 15 May, at the InterContinental London – The O2 in partnership with the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), the BBT Forum will begin with two keynote speakers. Nick Goldstein, enterprise manager at Uber for Business, will talk about the future of mobility and how Uber is partnering with cities and businesses to provide rides, bikes and carpooling options for employees during busy commuting times. Then, Stephen Cooles, communications and planning director at Visa, will tell delegates how contactless payments in the transport sector helps to keep cities moving.
In a session all about digitalisation in travel programmes, an expert panel will talk about transformation tips and delegates can also hear first-hand success stories and practical advice. Speakers include Jo McQuade, travel manager at NPower; Michael McSperrin, global head of facilities and support service at Alexander Mann Solutions; consultant Andrew Anderson; and Patrick de Jong, product designer at Roadmap.
Then industry experts will discuss how travel managers can maximise relationships with other departments within their business, including HR, security, finance and IT. Panellists include Oliver Moore, head of travel agency at Enterprise; Kerrie Henshaw-Cox, global category lead, AstraZeneca Business Travel; Raj Sachdave, managing partner at Black Box Partnerships; Matt Crawford, director of travel, payment and expense integration at Advito; and Preetam Kerai, head of employment, taxes and global mobility at Centrica.
Next, our panellists will tackle the changing definitions and perceptions of risk in the face of drone sightings shutting down airports, strikes causing disruption around Europe and ongoing Brexit uncertainty continuing to impact business travel. Speakers for this session include Emma Maslen, senior technology leader and UK and Ireland MD of enterprise at SAP Concur; Stephanie Smook, regional director, EMEA, at ACTE; Julie Black, deputy chair, BACA – The Air Charter Association; and Matthew Judge, group MD of Anvil Group.
The BBT Forum will close with a Question Time session to allow delegates to put their burning questions to the collective knowledge in the room, whether it is related to earlier discussions or not.
Afterwards, delegates will be treated to a drinks reception at the hotel’s glamorous sky bar with views over the O2, Canary Wharf and Thames Barrier.
BBT Forums operate under Chatham House Rules, so quotes will not be attributed to delegates to allow for an open and honest discussion.
