Amber Road launches SME platform

By Molly Dyson / 20 February 2019 / Contact Reporter

Travel partnership company Amber Road has revealed TRAQ, a new platform for SMEs, with Virgin Atlantic named as a launch partner.

Amber Road says TRAQ combines the bespoke service of its experienced travel advisors with the convenience of an easy-to-use app.

Designed specifically for SMEs, the tool uses app-based booking components that ensure the best available price, even after booking (for long-haul fares), removing the need for business travellers to spend time looking for the lowest price. It also provides other time-saving benefits such as automatic flight delay compensation.

The tool is built around Amber Road’s systems and tools, such as travel compensation offered in partnership with Disrupt Award finalist Railguard and Refund My Flights.

TRAQ users benefit from personalised service from a named travel advisor within the Amber Road team without paying booking, management, transaction or credit card fees, according to the company.

In addition, TRAQ charges a flat monthly fee of £29 per traveller per month, but only when the traveller is active; if there are no bookings in any given month, the fee is not charged.

To celebrate the launch of TRAQ, Amber Road has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic to offer the first 25 customers signing up to the new platform Silver Flying Club membership and a complimentary lounge pass for one person for each new company registering.

Amber Road says further benefits of using the platform are being developed, with the plan to add other partnerships with suppliers including special offers for clients.

CEO Clive Wratten said: “We are targeting the SME market – TRAQ is for companies spending up to £250,000 a year on travel.

“It’s really aimed at start-ups and fintech companies who have never used a TMC before and may not even know what a TMC is and the kind of value that we can offer.

“Creating a superlative, personalised customer experience is at the heart of everything we do at Amber Road, and TRAQ encapsulates these core values and services and is something we are proud to launch today.”
