Amadeus will introduce their latest e-travel management software in December of this year. Amadeus e-Travel Management v10.0 is designed to help businesses manage their travel costs more effectively by displaying multiple fares for a single itinerary.
For any one trip the system will display various options, whether you opt for ”search by schedule” or ”search by fare.” One-way and return options will also be displayed simultaneously to allow greater choice when booking. The administrator of the system has the ability to pre-determine the different fare types to be displayed, and users can also choose to view fares with the company”s kickback rebate included in the price. This is designed to benefit the corporation”s end year rebates.
Amadeus e-Travel commercial director Jerome Destors explained the need for choice: ”It is essential that technology helps improve the efficiency of the booking process. Not all companies want their traveller”s itineraries to be driven solely by price. Giving travel managers the flexibility to tailor what their travellers see on their desktop display and to set tight perimeters according to their travel management policies is key.”
