Airplus International is set to launch its new European Corporate Card that will offer a standardised service across 19 countries.
BBTreported on Airplus's initial announcement on plans for the new solution at a press event in May.
The card will be available in France from 24 September, with Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the UK, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland to follow by the end of 2019.
The European Corporate Card provides a globally-deployable solution to pay for business-related expenses during trips. Airplus says in the future, companies will enjoy the same benefits and services across all 19 countries.
According to Airplus, the card offers a central touch point for all matters across all 19 European countries rather than using various national banking partners.
Business travellers will have access to full insurance coverage when using the card, as well as local Airplus customer service and a high level of acceptance in the Mastercard network.
