Airplus International has announced Yael Klein has left her position as managing director UK and taken up the role of head of Americas, as well as president and CEO of its US subsidiary.
The appointment is part of a larger restructuring of Airplus International, as it continues to expand into new markets.
“Airplus opened its first office in the United States more than ten years ago and it has been one of the company’s fastest growing countries ever since,” said Klein.
“With the recent addition of products in quickly developing markets like Mexico and Brazil, Airplus is well positioned to continue its aggressive growth strategy in the region.”
Klein has held the position of MD for the UK for 13 years. Her new role is part of the restructuring of the company’s sales organisation. Within the new setup, all sales will report to Michiel Verhaagen, executive director of sales.
Caroline Haywood (pictured right), former head of customer services, will assume the role of interim managing director of Airplus in the UK.
Haywood said: “The UK market is an exciting a competitive environment with emerging technologies really changing the way that corporate travellers behave, and corporate travel managers manage.
“Airplus in the UK stands for innovation and prides itself on offering an exceptional customer experience. I plan to maintain this position and continue to build on it.”
