Amadeus says that networking and telecommunications equipment supplier, Huawei Technologies (Huawei) is the first company in Greater China to adopt Amadeus” online travel solution: Amadeus e-Travel Management (AeTM).
The new system pioneered by Amadeus, has been chosen by the company to facilitate its corporate travel needs in Greater China, with a view to applying the solution to its other markets in the near future. These will include Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
”As a global provider of next generation telecommunications networks, Huawei has complex corporate travel needs,” commented Huawei vice president, Ren Shulu. ”Amadeus integrates all the elements of our corporate travel programmes onto a single platform, simplifying the travel process for our employees and reducing travel costs.”
AeTM has been developed to assist companies in managing their corporate travel bookings more efficiently and economically, ensuring the user is compliant with the global travel policy.
”Our solution allows Huawei”s travel managers to customise the system,” said Amadeus Asia Pacific president, David Brett. "[It] accommodates the company”s travel guidelines and manages employees” travel itineraries more easily, streamlining the process and eventually leading to reduced travel expenditure.”
Amadeus technology supports the global travel programme of more than 1000 corporations. Customers include among others: Altr”a, Cemex, Daimler Chrysler, Ericsson, Hunstman, Nestl”, Total and Thales.
