The Advantage Focus Partnership will launch a new aggregating tool for hotel bookings, it was announced at the Focus On conference in Leeds.
The white label self-booking tool will allow travel agents to check hotel prices through a number of sources, using one programme.
Focus4Hotels, developed exclusively for and by the Focus Partnership, accesses hotel rates on the major GDSs, as well as through hotel booking agencies, and direct with hotels.
According to Chris Harnetty, technology manager at Advantage, it aggregates all the different parts of a hotel booking into one source, which will mean faster and easier bookings.
Harnetty has been working on the project for the past year, which was originally due to launch in March.
Users can search by a number of criteria, including location, star rating, price and the source of the rate.
The tool also allows users to collect management information.
Focus4Hotels will launch on July 1, in its initial roll-out phase, and will be available to Focus partners on a first come first served basis.
Jim Pocock, head of customer services at Commodore International Travel, and a member of the Focus Technology Panel, said the new tool would mean Advantage members could use their buying power to negotiate rates.
"As a group I think we can do a lot better," he said.
Feedback from delegates at the conference suggested a hotel bill back addition to the tool would see an increased uptake.
Harnetty said it was likely to be included in the next phase of development.
