Travel agency consortium Advantage is to unite its corporate and leisure members under a single banner – Advantage Travel Partnership.
Advantage’s managing director Julia Lo Bue-Said the move was being made to “create a professional and business-like central brand”.
She added: “We believe this is a significant step forward as the Advantage Travel Partnership better describes the special relationship we have with our members and more clearly articulates to the customer, whether leisure holidaymaker or corporate traveller, the enhanced value we offer to the relationship they have with their Advantage member.”
The announcement was made at Advantage’s business partner briefing in London on Tuesday (November 26).
Advantage’s corporate relationship manager Sonia Michaels also announced the consortium’s full IATA accreditation as well as the launch of a new fares and ticketing helpdesk for all Advantage members.
The consortium is also to introduce a meetings and events initiative to give its member agencies the tools to “venture into this potentially lucrative arena”.
