The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced a new
partnership with the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) to offer members
of both organisations benefits in the accommodation and meetings and events
spaces.
As part of the partnership, HBAA’s agency members will have
access to Advantage’s Global Accommodation Programme, which offers preferential
rates, from 1 October, while Advantage’s TMC members will be able to utilise
the HBAA’s Code of Practice for Meetings and Events, which is designed to
assure best practice between agents, hotels and venues to assure corporate
clients that they will receive a professional service.
According to Julia Lo Bue-Said, CEO of the Advantage Travel
Partnership, the TMC consortium and agency association will work together on campaigns
to promote best practice among its members.
Juliet Price, consultant executive director of the HBAA,
said: “Whilst navigating the disruption to businesses caused by Covid-19, it is
critical that both organisations continue to provide new tools, ways of working
and in some cases new platforms for diversification. Currently, some of our
members do not book accommodation for their customers and some Advantage
members do not book meetings and events; this partnership will enable new
service provisions and maximise business to our partners.”
