French hotel giant Accor has become the latest travel industry partner to join the GTMC.
Accor offers more than 510,000 rooms across its 3,900 properties in 92 countries. The company’s 17 brands include Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman and Sofitel.
Paul Wait, chief executive of the GTMC, said: “We look forward to this new partnership and the greater insight into the hotel sector that it will deliver for our members.
“The GTMC provides a forum to share the latest industry updates with our members as well as keeping an eye on broader travel and business trends.”
Accor’s UK vice president of sales Chris Roe added: “The GTMC has a strong reputation among the business travel community and will provide us with a great opportunity to network with industry peers and gain invaluable contacts through the organisation’s partner and member portfolio.”
