Offshore deep-water drilling company Seadrill has awarded a worldwide travel management contract to ATP Instone.
The appointment followed a competitive pitch process, which saw ATP Instone visit Seadrill’s offices across Asia to understand the company’s needs, and develop travel plans for individual rigs.
ATP Instone, the offshore industry specialist division of the ATPI Group, will manage Seadrill’s global travel needs
The oil company had previous been using a variety of travel suppliers globally to manage its business travel for bases in 15 countries across five continents.
Adam Knights, ATPI’s group sales director, said the TMC has global offices in the relevant locations for Seadrill, and a “sensible” approach to saving money across both crew and management travel.
He added: “In the offshore industry offering a true 24/7 service, and not just emergency response out-of-hours, is rare.
“The ability to recognise these differences reinforces ATP Instone’s long term true sector understanding.“
ATP Instone has also recently secured contracts with Seatrans, Westfal-Larsen Management, Forland Shipping and Franks International.
