ATPI has opened its first offices in Sydney, which it says is in response to increasing demand in the Asia Pacific market.
The travel management company (TMC) has indicated it will be concentrating on the marine and energy sector.
The global network now counts 45 offices in a total of 27 countries.
Graham Ramsey, ATPI group CEO, said clients have long been asking the TMC to “support them” in Austrlia.
“This is very much a strategic move for us and I see great opportunities in the Australian market,” he said.
Last year, ATPI announced a franchise agreement which will see ATPI branded offices open up across the middle east.
In other news from the TMC, it has appointed Martin Purvis as head of sales for shipping.
Last year, ATPI acquired marine fare specialist Instone International.
Adam Knights, group sales director, ATPI said: “We are expanding rapidly within the international marine and shipping sectors.”
