UK-based ATPI Group has announced a new partnership with Saudi Arabian corporate travel agency Arjaa Travel as part of its strategy to expand its presence in the Middle East.
Arjaa Travel is the corporate travel division of Almajdouie Group, which is based in Al Khobar, and specialises in sectors such as energy, marine, mining, corporate, sports and events.
ATPI said the partnership would see the two companies integrate their corporate travel management services, including the UK firm’s technology platforms and customer support.
Lynn Coutts, ATPI’s managing director for the Middle East, added: “The collaboration between ATPI and Arjaa Travel promises to bring huge benefits to our travellers, corporate clients and tourism in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
“ATPI offers a unique service offering in all locations across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) overcoming differing requirements associated with technology, payment, tax and localisation.”
In a joint statement, the companies said their partnership was “aligned” with the Saudi Vision 2020 project, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a “global hub” for tourism and business. The country has recently been selected to host the FIFA World Cup tournament in 2034 and is also due to host Expo 2030.
ATPI was ranked as the ninth largest TMC in Europe in the list of Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024. It was also ranked in the top 10 in the UK, Benelux countries and Nordics region.
