Following the launch of its Door to Deck service, shipping and energy travel management specialist ATPI Griffinstone has now integrated a new ‘total cost of port call’ concept designed to enable worldwide shipping companies to have a single view of both travel and port-related costs in order to identify where savings can be made within crew rotations.
‘Total cost of port call’ is designed to include greater analysis and visibility of costs in the port areas, including transfers, accommodation, local currency and customs regulations, in order for both travel and port costs can be consolidated into one work flow. All data is then displayed in one single platform.
ATPI Griffinstone says the benefit of this ‘total cost of port call’ system is increased efficiency and insight into analysing seafarers costs (including ground transportation, hotel, meals and launches) and enabling travel and crew coordinators to streamline these costs, in turn increasing complaince to travel policy.
Nikos Gazelidis, global head of shipping sales at ATPI Griffinstone, said: “The development of ATPI Door to Deck has already proven to be an invaluable tool in managing costs and logistics of crew. The evolution to add the ‘total cost of port call’ concept brings a greater level of actionable information. With each new development of this technology, our clients gain greater support and improved efficiency with the platform, saving both time and cost. As a specialist in this sector, ATPI Griffinstone is using its knowledge of what clients in the shipping industry want and need to create a fully integrated service.”
ATPI Door to Deck covers an enhanced end-to-end crew travel experience, which offers all crew rotation costs in one consolidated invoice. It also co-ordinates all ground arrangements via a single contract using a standardised process and specialist support 365 days a year.
