American Express Business Travel has introduced what it calls "a one-stop-shop," an online marketplace where customers can find and book flights, hotels, car rental and airport parking
The company also offers related services such as airport parking, dining, ground transportation, event tickets and audio/web conferencing.
California-based Rearden Commerce is providing the new product, which draws information from 135,000 suppliers.
The system will recognise the customer's booking profile, itinerary details, and physical location and then load the booked itinerary into their Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes Calendar.
Commenting on the venture, American Express Business Travel executive vice president and chief operating officer Priyan Fernando said: "Ten years after pioneering online corporate travel, American Express Business Travel is excited to engage Rearden Commerce in this strategic initiative and introduce a new standard for managing travel spend beyond the traditional categories of air, car and hotel services."
