ACTE (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) has become an association partner to the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management (CNI), enabling ACTE members to attend the CNI Professional Development Program (PDP) at a reduced rate.
Taught by Cornell University and Nanyang Technological University faculty members, industry executives and expert consultants, the PDP offers a variety of courses in management techniques. Participants can select courses specific to their career, or choose from more than 50 options in the following seven areas:
- Food, beverage and restaurant management
- General and strategic management
- Human-resource management
- Financial marketing
- Marketing
- Operations management
- Property-assest management and real estate
Certain CNI pupils are also to benefit from new technology, thanks to global technology and distribution solution provider, Amadeus. CNI has signed a partnership deal with the company that will give its Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) students access to the Amadeus Revenue Management System (RMS).
”Revenue management practice has become increasingly important in all aspects of the service industry and we see this as a significant plus to equip our students with a ”hands on” approach in our programme,” said CNI dean, Professor Judy Siguaw. ”This is a good opportunity for students to showcase their talents by applying what they have learned to both practical and theoretical applications.”
