German-speaking travel managers have the opportunity to discuss corporate social responsibility (CSR) at an upcoming Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) event in Frankfurt on 12 June
The half-day educational event, conducted in German, is organised in conjunction with the Business Travel Association of Germany (VDR) to address all areas of CSR, including environmentally responsible travel and risk management.
Travel suppliers are increasingly assessed based on their environmental practices, says ACTE, with some companies being de-listed for poor green credentials. The seminar will address how buyers and suppliers can partner to reduce emissions and increase efficiency, as well as present trends in sustainable travel and define key components of green RFPs (request for proposals).
The session will also focus on the heightened importance of risk management and discuss how travel managers can work with their supply chain partners to ensure low-risk business travel.
”Travel managers need to address the burning questions of our day ,” said VDR president, Michael Kirnberger. ”Meaningful answers for global challenges can only be found in close collaboration with the very best experts. Our seminar provides valuable insights and helps travel managers to actively push relevant company policies.”
